A coat plan that makes sense.
We'll talk about brushing for your dog's coat type, especially behind ears and under a harness where knots can hide.
Good hair days. Northern Beaches, Sydney.
Calm, one-on-one grooming in a van parked outside your home. A familiar face, a little patience, and a much shorter trip home.

A quieter kind of grooming day
“I'm Jess. After eight years of grooming, I know that a little breathing room makes a difference. I give your dog time to sniff, settle and get to know me. There's no queue of other dogs behind them, and you're just a few steps away.”
A quieter setting and a patient pace for anxious or older dogs. Tell me what helps yours feel comfortable.
I park outside while you get on with your day. The return journey is from the van to the front door.
Your dog's appointment is their own. No shared bath time, cage drying or waiting around for another dog.
From a little scruffy to ready for the sofa
A hello, a coat check and time to settle. Then we take it one step at a time.

A sniff, a hello and a chat about the coat.

A warm wash, with products suited to their coat.

Towel first. A gentle finish at their pace.

A final tidy, then straight back to you.

Salt in the air. Fur in the van.
You'll find the van around Sydney's Northern Beaches. I group appointments by suburb, so let me know where you are and which days suit.
The care continues at home
A comfortable groom is only part of looking after a coat. A little home care goes a long way.

Tell Jess what felt easy and what didn't. The next visit can build on that, with the right timing for your dog's coat and comfort.
A few things you might be wondering
Every dog comes with their own habits. Tell me about yours; it helps me plan a better visit.
No. The van is self-contained, with its own water and power. Please make sure there's a safe, legal and reasonably level parking spot nearby. I'll confirm access with you before the appointment.
Tell me before booking so I can allow time to assess the coat. I won't pull through tight matting just to keep the coat long. A shorter clip may be kinder, and I'll discuss the options and price with you first. Sore or damaged skin may need a vet's advice before grooming.
Please be upfront about any bite history, triggers or handling difficulties. We'll talk before booking to decide whether the van is the right setting. If a dog becomes too distressed or unsafe to handle, I'll stop and discuss another approach, which may include a vet-assisted groom.
Please give at least 24 hours' notice so I can offer the time to another dog on the route. Any late-cancellation terms will be confirmed when you book. If something unexpected happens, get in touch as soon as you can.
Coat type matters as much as breed. Poodles and oodle coats need regular brushing and trims; short-coated dogs often need a different routine. I'll suggest a schedule based on your dog's coat, skin and home care, rather than one interval for every dog. The RSPCA's coat-care guide is a useful starting point.
Let's meet your dog
Tell me a bit about your dog, where you live and a day that suits. I'll get back to you to confirm the groom, price and a spot on the route.
If I'm with a dog, I may not answer straight away. Leave a message and I'll get back to you between appointments.
